Fundraising Committee (year long)

Dragons Committee (baseball season)

The school has a contract to work Dayton Dragons games for fundraiser money.

    DUTIES

    • Arrange Dragons Training
    • Arrange volunteers for games
  • Number of Volunteers needed: 4-5 per game sometimes more to help fill other booths, and sometimes fewer for special events

Calendar Sales Committee (July)

Drive students around set routes in Springboro to sell school calendars

  • Calendar Chair: Deana Cuffe and Doug Heil
  • Sponsor Chair: Open

    DUTIES

    • Arrange drivers
    • Arrange students with band director
    • Design of the calendar
    • Arrange the printing of the calendars
    • Distribute calendars to students the night of fundraiser
    • Arrange selling calendars on the Open House nights
    • Take calendar to the Pride Store in Springboro

    DUTIES

  • Number of Volunteers needed: 18-20 parents to drive

    DUTIES

    • Drive students around (local Springboro) to sell calendars for 3-4 hours for one night

Indoor Concession Committee (Aug-Feb)

Work concession stand for Volleyball and Basketball games (contracted with school to supply band money made).

    DUTIES

    • Arrange/assign volunteers to cover concession shifts
    • Collect/Deposit money to the bank/treasurer
    • Arrange and perform supplies/food pick up for concession stand
  • Number of Volunteers needed: 15+, rotating shifts to distribute time evenly

    DUTIES

    • Work concession 2-4 hours per shift

Poinsettia Flower Committee (Sept-Dec)

  • Chair: Deneka LeMaster
  • Committee Member: Open

    DUTIES

    • Obtain flyers and make them so they can be copied for handouts (two or four per page)
    • Adjust flyer to proper form to be placed onto Peach Jar for advertising
    • Make sure copies of flyers are made or make them
    • Remind staff of date to hand out flyers
    • The week before, start advertising on the band Facebook page and CHARMS
    • Two days before, get it started on Peach jar to be posted the day before event
    • Advertise and advertise

Spring Flower Committee (Jan-May)

    DUTIES

    • Coordinate with flower supplier (currently Krueger-Maddox) in late winter
    • Determine sales period and provide order forms and brochures for students (work with band directors)
    • Collect forms and money and place order with supplier
    • Arrange for delivery from supplier and customer pick-up (work with school on timing and location)
  • Number of Volunteers needed: 10+ (can be divided into shifts)

    DUTIES

    • Volunteers only needed for the day of pick-up.
    • Truck unloading/sorting
    • Customer pick-up/loading into cars

Dine to Donate (year long)

    DUTIES

    • Decide where to hold events, check main calendar in Mr. Palmer’s office to pick dates that are not over-booked already
    • Set date with restaurants cooperate office or manager, once approved, complete all their paperwork on line, send out to Band members a Save the date and get event listed on calendar in CHARMS

    • The day of the event I would go and hand out flyers to local business in the area of our fund raiser. Ask companies to send employees for lunch if we had an entire day event. I usually check in with the manager during event to make sure things are going well.
    • Always send a thank you to the store. Usually designed one with band picture at beginning of year and had all the students sign it. Then made nice copies and used it over and over.
